Residential elevators
What is the structure of a Wolair pneumatic elevator like?
Updated: 22-08-2024
The structure of an elevator may vary according to the type of elevator and the destination we have planned for it. However, most of them share certain elements that are essential for their operation and safety.
In the case of Wolair pneumatic vacuum elevators, they are a type of elevator composed of a vertical cylinder and a cabin that transports passengers inside. What materials are you manufacturing the pneumatic vacuum elevator from? What is its structure like?
Materials and elements that make up an elevator structure
We could say that the structure of an elevator is divided into three parts:
The external structure
The external structure of the Wolair single-family elevator is composed of aluminum columns available in different colors and transparent polycarbonate panels of high durability and impact resistance, so that the pneumatic elevator allows a 360º panoramic view inside the home.
The cabin
The elevator car is the most important part of the elevator. Passengers are transported inside it. Its welded steel structure provides safety and stability. The elevator car is black or stainless steel. It has automatic lighting and ventilation in the cabin, interior safety door and telephone connected for any emergency. At the top of the cabin is located the seal, a key piece for the proper functioning of the pneumatic elevator.
The seal is in charge of sealing in order to generate the vacuum in the upper part of the cylinder. In the cabin are all the safety elements of the pneumatic elevator: floor stop brakes, emergency brakes, emergency stop button and alarm button. These safety elements make the pneumatic elevator absolutely safe, and it is not for nothing that the Wolair pneumatic elevator is rated as the safest elevator in the world.
The vacuum system
The vacuum system is the “engine” of the pneumatic lifter. Its mission is to draw air from inside the cylinder to generate a vacuum for the cabin to ascend, and to allow the controlled entry of air for descent.
